Switching
The action of using a long cane, which is attached to a handle and which is held by both hands, moving from side to side in a forward sweeping fashion. It is carried out to remove clumps of grass, dew, or earthworm casts on fine turf areas; or prior to mowing a fine turf surface, such as a golf green or bowling green, to help identify and flick off any fine hard materials, such as fine gravel, or golfers' studs which have become dislodged on a green. This activity is occasionally called Swishing or Poling.

A make of tractor mounted brush, which is attached by a 3-point linkage, with a working width of 1.8m. It is suitable for power units with a minimum of 15hp and is for use on artificial turf surfaces, being supplied by Campey.

A make of triangular brush consisting of 2 models, both having a working depth up to 20mm:
• TB140: a working width of 1.4m, a weight of 40kg and a power need of >10hp.
• TB180: a working width of 1.8m, a weight of 60kg and a power need of >15hp.

Terra Brush
A make of tractor mounted drag brush, in different sizes, from 1.85m to 3.95m; and shapes, from straight to zig-zag; it is manufactured by Wiedenmann (UK) Ltd.
TMB2
A towed triangular brush, 1.5m working width and weighing 40kg, for use on artificial surfaces. It is manufactured by SCH Supplies.
Top Brush
A make of tractor mounted rotary brush, with three brush units, having a working width of 6.0m. It can be used to remove dew, disperse earthworm casts and grass cuttings; and is manufactured by Redexim-Charterhouse.
Topfinish
A steel and rubber drag mat, the TF200, has a working width of 2m, a weight of 40kg and a power need of >15hp. It is manufactured by GKB Machines.
Triangular Brush
A three sided, often nylon bristled, brush in the shape of a triangle, which is towed behind a power unit.
Triple V Brush
A make of tractor operated rear mounted, but also being able to be fitted as a front-mounted, brush unit on a frame, consisting of a straight brush at the rear of the frame and 3 V-brushes in front of it. It has a working width of 1.8m and a weight of 100kg, being suitable for tractors from 18hp and greater. It is suitable for use on natural as well as artificial turf and is supplied by Campey.
