This is a measure of how fast a bowling or golf green is. Fast greens often require greater skill, and are typically more challenging, than slower greens.

A playing quality performance standard which states the desired speed of a golf green or bowling green. This might be measured metres as the distance rolled for a golf or bowling green, and also in seconds for a bowling green.

A playing quality performance standard which states the hardness of a surface, measured in gravities. The parameters given might be as a range, or as a minimum required figure.

An overall level of quality in the original Performance Quality Standards framework which is where the surface is designed for professional and international use.

A design tool which is represented as a matrix and which is used to capture product features and functions, customer wants and needs, target values and outcomes, and competitor benchmarking / evaluation as part of the process of Quality Function Deployment.

Hydraulic Conductivity [2] advert image shown if present

A structural quality performance standard which states the minimum rate of hydraulic conductivity through a soil, with it being measured in millimetres per hour. Consideration might also be given to including a maximum rate so as to not have a profile which is prone to excessive leaching and drying out. For many situations infiltration and hydraulic conductivity rates might be considered the same, therefore only needing to assess infiltration rate in field tests.

This involves checking that processes and procedures are routinely followed to ensure that defined standards (such as pitch performance standards) are met in accordance with requirements.
