A structural quality performance standard which states the minimum rate of hydraulic conductivity through a soil, with it being measured in millimetres per hour. Consideration might also be given to including a maximum rate so as to not have a profile which is prone to excessive leaching and drying out. For many situations infiltration and hydraulic conductivity rates might be considered the same, therefore only needing to assess infiltration rate in field tests.
