Terra Float

A make of tractor mounted roller-spiked aerated, which produces 1500 holes per square metre, at 30mm spacings. The maximum working depth is also 30mm; it is manufactured by Wiedenmann (UK) Ltd.

  Terra Slit

A make of tractor mounted aerator and linear aerator. This equipment can use ‘heave' knife tines which are 200mm in length. Spacings for the aerator tines are at either 75mm or 150mm. Hollow tines with a length of 75mm can also be used; it is manufactured by Wiedenmann (UK) Ltd.

  Terra Spike

A make of tractor mounted aerator and decompactor. There are eleven models, with working widths from 1.35m to 2.6m. The working depths range from 210mm to 400mm, depending upon the model; with a working output of about 3.5-4 hours for a full-sized football pitch. It is manufactured by Wiedenmann (UK) Ltd.

  Turf Aerator [2]

A make of pedestrian operator aerator, with 4 models: 345MD, 345HD, 460HD, 460SDR, having working widths of either 45cm or 60com, and to a depth of up to 130mm; a wide range of tines can be used on either machine. They are manufactured by Groundsman Industries.

  Verti-Core

A make of tractor mounted turf aerator, with hollow or solid tines. It has a working width of 1.6m and a maximum working depth of 125mm; it is manufactured by Redexim-Charterhouse.

  Verti-Drain

A make of tractor mounted heavy duty deep spike aerators which can also de-compact a soil, depending upon the selected settings. The decompaction effect works by shattering and fissuring of the soil profile. It was designed in 1980 and is manufactured by Redexim-Charterhouse.

  Verti-Knife

A make of tractor mounted linear aerator, using discs to a depth of from 10mm to 150mm. There are two models, with a working width of either 1.6m or 2.5m. The number of discs vary according to the model and depth of setting but range from 6 to 72 discs. Disc spacing can be 35mm, 50mm, 100mm, or 300mm; it is manufactured by Redexim-Charterhouse.

  Verti-Quake

A make of tractor mounted linear aerator, with more than one model. The working widths range from 1.1m, 1.6m, 2.1m and 2.5m. The number of blades on each unit varies from 12, 18, 24, and 30 depending upon the width of the model. The maximum working depth is 250mm, except for the largest 2.5m wide machine, which has a maximum working depth of 380mm. Each model has coulter knives, like curved chisel tines, which are slightly offset. The rotary action of the knives creates a side-ways decompaction of the soil profile; it is manufactured by Redexim-Charterhouse.
