Experiential Learning
A theory of learning which focuses on constructing knowledge from experiences and is a category of constructivism. It follows a 4-stage cycle, which would be repeated to continually improve:
1. Experience (Concrete experience)
2. Reflection (reflective observation)
3. Gain meaning (Abstract conceptualisation)
4. Application (Active experimentation).
This theory was developed by Kolb, being influenced by the works of Dewey, Lewin and Piaget.
