Sporthybrid Turf

A reinforced inclusion material (Sporthybrid T fibres) made from bioplastics which are biodegradable. The fibres are 55mm in length and have a thickness of 0.28mm. It is manufactured by Heiler Sport.

  Sports Greenscape Turf

Turf grown on a sandy loam or sand, being seeded with grass species mixture of 70% dwarf perennial ryegrass (Eurodiamond / Chardin cultivars); 15% smooth stalked meadow grass (Sombrero cultivar); 5% each of Chewings fescue, slender creeping red fescue and strong creeping red fescue (using Wagner 1, Cezzanne and Rossinante cultivars respectively). It is produced by County Turf. It is cut to a depth of 15mm-20mm in various sized rolls. This turf can also be grown on fibre reinforced rootzones, as well as being specially cut to a deeper depth of 40mm to allow for inclusion in pitches where play

  Turfing a Lawn

Once soil bed has been prepared then the laying of turves can begin. Turves will have already been delivered and they have not been left rolled up for long ¯ otherwise the grass will go yellow and the exposed soil backing can dry out and this can kill off the roots. Ideally lay the turf the day of delivery or on the following day.
