A grass seed with different compositions depending upon the use and seed availability: • For use on winter sports (football and rugby) pitches, especially for overseeding at times of the year when cooler temperatures prevail. One trial had shown germination and establishment of this blend increased grass coverage during winter from 20% to 60% in a period of a month when soil temperatures were at 6.2°C. It is 100% perennial ryegrass, with a blend of 2 different cultivars:50% Barcristalla; 50% Barterra, which is an annual ryegrass, and which can germinate at temperatures as low as 3.5°C.
