A selective herbicide which was no longer approved for use in the UK from about the mid-1980s.
Aminopyralid
A selective herbicide which is used for the control of some broad leaved weeds, including docks, dandelions, buttercups and thistles in amenity grassland situations.
Amitrol
A non-selective herbicide for the control of weeds prior to cultivation, although it is no longer approved for use.
Asulam
A herbicide that was previously used for the control of bracken, although it has not been approved for use since 2012, although emergency authorisation has been granted since then.
Asulox
A product name for a selective herbicide, containing Aslam (400g/ltr) as the active ingredient, being applied at a rate of 11.0 litres of concentrate per hectare. It can only be applied once per year and is supplied by UPL Europe Ltd. It is not generally approved for use although it was granted emergency authorisation use from 1st July ¯ 14th September 2020 and only for the control of bracken.
Blaster Pro
A product name for a selective herbicide, containing Clopyralid (60g/ltr) and Triclopyr (240g/ltr) as the active ingredients, being applied at a rate of 1.2 litres of concentrate per hectare. It can only be applied once per year and is supplied by Dow AgroSciences Ltd.
Carfentrazone-ethyl
Celadon
A product name for a selective herbicide, containing Fluroxypyr (100g/ltr) and Florasulam (2.5g/ltr) as the active ingredients, being applied at a rate of 2 litres of concentrate in 200 litres of water per hectare. It can only be applied once per year. It is supplied by Dow Agrosciences Ltd.
Chloroxuron
A herbicide which was formulated with ferrous sulphate to control moss in turf but is no longer approved for use.
