A continuous belt is connected around a front wheel which is in contact with the ground and into a container with another wheel which immerses the belt into the liquid material. This forms a continuous loop.

A product range of line markers from the Supaturf brand of Vitax consisting of two models: • 400: which is a traditional transfer wheel line marker, with a tank capacity holding up to 15-litres in a heavy-duty metal square box, having different wheels for marking widths of 50mm, 75mm and 100mm. Total weight (empty) is 21kg. • Arrow: A lighter, plastic body, transfer wheel line marker, with a tank capacity holding up to 14-litres, although a maximum of 12.5 litres is suggested to avoid spillage. The act of marking out lines on a sports surface. When strings are used to align a pitch the string lines are set to the outside of the desired line to be marked so that the line marker marks inside of the string line as this is the actual pitch area.

A battery powered spray line marking machine, from the Supaturf range, having a 5-hour operating time before needing to be fully recharged. It has a maximum tank capacity of 12.5 litres, with a full marking out of an adult sized football pitch requiring about 7-8 litres of diluted marking paint. It is supplied by Vitax.

The robot can be used on natural grass as well as synthetic turf and weighs 60kg, has a 4-hour battery life; with a 20-litre paint capacity and operating speed of 1.8 mph. The time taken to mark out a full-sized adult football pitch is about 25-minutes, using about 4-litres of paint, whilst a rugby pitch takes about 40-minutes. It is manufactured by Turf Tank.
