Module overview

To complement many of the maintenance activities is a range of materials that need to be applied to a football pitch if a desirable surface and playing experience is to be provided.

We explore 12 different groups of material, looking at how they are used and also reflect on what might be termed essential and desirable materials. This is a subjective grouping and does depend on circumstances and context of their use.

The approach taken in this module has been to separate out the common questions asked about the What, When and How of materials used.
