We look at pitch quality, in particular performance standards and how these can be used to maintain and manage a football pitch.
Twelve of the features that were identified in Module 1 will be explored in more detail to show how they might be used as performance standards.
Having described the twelve performance standards, we will then show how a pitch can be assessed to provide an indication of its overall quality grade.
Finishing off the module is a brief overview of the relationship between carrying capacity and pitch quality.
