Football Pitch Chain harrowing

These implements are useful where budgets and resources are limited because they have two sides:

(a) a smooth side for striping a pitch, removing earthworm casts or for tidying up and removing vegetative debris such as loose divots as part of post-match repair work;

(b) a side with tines which can be used for tearing out loose and weak plants, as well as trailing weeds, and for cultivating the surface as part of the end of season renovation activities.

Whilst this implement may not produce as fine a finish as more specialist equipment, it is quite suitable for entry and general level pitch surfaces, so it should not be discounted without due consideration.
