The design of a product whereby the life cycle stages aim to be as sustainable as possible. The aim is to minimise environmental impact and ensure that the product can be readily recycled or reused, with embedded materials being able to be reclaimed, without, or minimising, the generation of waste throughout the life cycle process. This approach can lead to a circular economy with efficient use of all materials.
