Safe Working Distance
The minimum distance that should be maintained between a hazard and a worker.
For example, a grass trimmer might have a safe working distance of 15m, meaning that the operative should keep a distance of 15m between themselves and anyone or anything (for example, windows) which might be harmed, injured or damaged from the use of the trimmer.
The main concern would be that of ejecting stones or similar hard material when trimming long grass, rather than soft material such as grass.
