Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer
Rubber granules which are mainly produced from new and unused synthetic rubber material, mainly being available in a variety of colours. Some EPDM products are made from recycled material. EPDM is more durable than recycled rubber granules from vehicle tyres. These high-density rubber granules are typically used for the surfacing of children’s play areas, however, they are also commonly used in other industries, being manufactured in a roll to weatherproof roofing, called membrane roofing, as well as into grommets, gaskets, tubing and many other products. The term is more frequently used as an acronym: EPDM.
