Experience
The knowledge and / or skills gained from an interaction such as contributing to, observing, or taking part, in an event, which may be cognitive or physical.
Where this interaction has occurred on several occasions, and where it has been active rather than passive engagement, then there is an increased likelihood that an individual will become more proficient or knowledgeable about that which has been experienced.
Increasing experience does not necessarily mean that the knowledge or skills gained are correct or demonstrate good working practice because initial poor practice or misunderstanding can be reinforced if undertaken without critical reflection to question and challenge prior experiences.
