The use of a tractor mounted but not PTO drive, combination implement of 1.8m width, such as a SISIS Quadraplay or Charterhouse Multi-Sport can be an efficient way of undertaking routine surface maintenance activities in one pass.

These combination implements provide for surface grooming and can help to maintain a well-presented surface. A combination frame will typically consist of a shallow slit tine aerator, metal tined rake for light surface scarification, a bristle brush, and a light roller for pitch presentation and refirming of any disturbed surface from the activities of other implements.

Raising up specific implements which are not required so that just a single implement is in contact with the surface can improve the effectiveness of that task.
