This does depend on the make and type of material, whether an initial mark out or an overmarking of an existing but worn or faded line, the thickness of the concentrate, the density of required line, as well as the actual dilution rate used. The type of equipment being used will also affect the amount needed.

A useful starting guide of 1.5 to 4 litres of concentrate per pitch might be considered, with the total mixture (following dilution with water) being applied per pitch in the range of 5 to 10 litres.

The exact amount of concentrate as well as water for dilution (unless pre-mixed) will be in accordance with the figures provided by the manufacturer of the paint.
