A Social Sustainability Indicator which might also be referred to as Employee Quality Rating or included within it. Providing an environment in which regular, continuous education and learning is undertaken by workers can help towards creating a motivated workforce, progression opportunities, new ideas, improving business processes and procedures and helping to provide a more stable and committed workforce, contributing to a more sustainable, viable business. This might be measured by the percentage of workers engaged in education and learning per year, ensuring all workers have some form of upskilling, reskilling, refresher training or similar on a planned basis, which might, for example, be every three years.
