Learning Curve

The rate at which a new task or knowledge is learnt, with an outcome being a measure of proficiency and experience, which is greater over time.
This is usually represented as a graph showing a variable incline; the steeper the incline the more rapidly a task is being appropriately learnt, with the steepness of the line indicating the rate of change of learning speed over time.
Where learning takes a relatively long time then the incline line would be relatively shallow.
The final elements within a task might be quite complex to learn and therefore the curve in the line can level out to some degree.
