Sub-Compact Tractor

These are smaller and lighter units than compact tractors and would mainly be used as power units, with or without a cab, for single mowing decks, having a maximum power rating of about 25hp, with many being 16-20hp. Additional attachments are available, including front loader buckets, for some types of sub-compact tractor and so their capabilities can be similar to that of some compact tractors, although for most turf equipment attachments a minimum of 25hp would probably be desired to ensure the unit is not overloaded. Basically, this type of tractor is just suited to light weight routine work, which can include drag brushing, or similar, on a 2G or 3G pitch, although ensure that a brush has adequate weight, and the unit can apply appropriate down pressure to ensure the bristles adequately penetrate the surface fibres and infill rather than just bounces along the surface.
