Certificate of Completion

Recognition of successfully completing a task or learning activity. This might be completing reading through a document or having attended a training course.
Completion does not mean that an individual has successfully achieved any assessment criteria related to the task or activity, especially where a Certificate of Achievement is used as the form of recognition for successfully passing an end test / assessment.
Where Certificate of Achievement is not used then a Certificate of Completion may mean an individual has passed the end test / assessment, however, there would be no recognition of them completing the task or activity because the term cannot be used in that context to mean two different things. This could disadvantage or demotivate an individual who is not requiring to take or pass the end test / assessment element.
