Implementation of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council is made under the UK's Data Protection Act 2018, which deals with “the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data”, being amended by The Data Protection, Privacy and Electronic Communications (Amendments etc) (EU Exit) Regulations 2019.
