Soft Skills
These are a range of interpersonal and behavioural skills needed for working effectively with team members, colleagues and customers.
The term more commonly used is now Employability Skills, although People Skills and Transferable Skills are also commonly used to mean the same thing.
These skills are readily transferable across job roles and occupations, hence also being called transferable skills.
Individuals who are able to demonstrate good soft skill abilities are more likely to be successful at job interviews and especially in their career development, when compared with those who are unable to deliver a suitable set of soft skills.
The success of soft skills within a work environment can often be demonstrated by feedback and evaluation of the overall customer service experience which is delivered.
