Blade Range

A wide range of grass seed mixtures (2022) supplied by Aitkens, from seed produced by DLF Trifolium.
• Blade 1
A grass seed primarily for use on golf and bowling greens, with a suggested height of cut of no less than 4mm. It is a mixture of 80% Chewings Fescue (40% Gima; 40% Humboldt), 20% Browntop Bent (10% Arrowtown, 10% Manor).
• Blade 2
A grass seed primarily for use on golf and bowling greens, with a suggested height of cut of no less than 4mm. It is a mixture of 30% Chewings Fescue (Humboldt), 50% Slender Creeping Red Fescue (25% Beudin, 25% Cezanne), 20% Browntop Bent (10% Arrowtown, 10% Manor).
• Blade 3
A grass seed primarily for use in overseeding golf and bowling greens, with a suggested height of cut of no less than 4mm. It is a 100% Browntop Bent, with a blend of 2 cultivars: 40% Arrowtown, 60% Manor.
• Blade 4
A grass seed for use on golf and bowling greens, tees and fairways, with a suggested height of cut of no less than 5mm. It is a mixture of 50% Chewings Fescue (25% Gima; 25% Humboldt), 60% Slender Creeping Red Fescue (25% Beudin, 10% Cezanne, 15% Nigella).
• Blade 5
A grass seed for use on golf tees, fairways and cricket outfields, as well as landscape areas, with a suggested height of cut of no less than 12mm. It is a mixture of 30% Chewings Fescue (Humboldt), 30% Slender Creeping Red Fescue (Nigella), 35% Strong Creeping Red Fescue (Rossinante), 5% Browntop Bent (Highland).
• Blade 6
A grass seed for use on golf tees, fairways and cricket outfields, as well as landscape areas, with a suggested height of cut of no less than 12mm. It is a mixture of 35% Perennial Ryegrass (Chardin), 20% Chewings Fescue (Fulmar), 20% Slender Creeping Red Fescue (Nigella), 25% Strong Creeping Red Fescue (Rossinante).
• Blade 7
A grass seed for use on winter sports pitches, racecourses and high wear general areas, with a suggested height of cut of no less than 20mm. It is a 100% Perennial ryegrass, with a blend of 5 cultivars: 20% Chardin, 20% Columbine, 10% Eurocordus, 30% Europitch, 20% Eurosport.
• Blade 8
A grass seed for use on hard wearing finer turf areas such as golf tees, tennis courts and cricket pitches, with a suggested height of cut of no less than 4mm. It is a 100% Perennial ryegrass, with a blend of 4 cultivars: 15% Chardin, 50% Claudine, 5% Clementine, 30% Dickens.
• Blade 9
A grass seed for use on some hard-wearing finer turf areas as well as slopes, shade and landscape areas, with a suggested height of cut of no less than 10mm. It is a mixture of 70% Perennial Ryegrass (50% Platinum, 20% Tetragame), 30% Strong Creeping Red Fescue (Sergei).
