Calcium Carbonate

This is the main component of chalk and is applied to soil or turf grass surfaces to help reduce soil acidity. It is also commonly called ground limestone and in the early 1920s it was also referred to as Pulverised Chalk, as well as Carbonate of Lime. Its chemical formula is CaCO3.
