Agrostologist

A person who studies grasses.

An agrostologist, or maybe applied agrostologist, could also be used to refer someone who manages turfgrass surfaces because they need a good understanding of different grasses and the various influences on their growth and development so as to produce a suitable grass surface, ideally in an efficient (and more recently including a sustainable) operational manner.
