Bruner's Discovery Learning
A theory of learning, often termed enquiry or problem-based learning, with Jerome Bruner being generally recognised as developing this approach to learning, albeit arguably being influenced by earlier works of others.
A learner will solve problems by themselves, with a low level of input from others, with a learner discovering by experience non-solutions and solutions to a problem.
Whilst the input from others, especially a teacher, will be low, the quality of that input will be high, involving providing feedback to questions from a learner, guidance on making connections between experiences and encouraging a learner's reflective thought on their experience.
