Acelepryn
A make of insecticide, with the active ingredient Chlorantraniliprole, which has been used for the control of chafer grubs and leatherjackets. Following the withdrawal of Imidacloprid for the control of Chafer Grubs in 2016 and Chlorpyrifos earlier in 2015 for the control of leatherjackets, there was no chemical approved for such use to control these insect pests in the UK. An initial Emergency Authorisation was granted for the use of Acelepryn in June 2018 (to be used by no later than 30th September 2018 only) for the control of chafer grubs and leatherjackets on golf course greens and tees, horse racecourses and airfields only: This was also applied for the same period during 2019 with it being extended for use on golf fairways as well. Additional Emergency Authorizations were approved for 2020 and 2021.
