Brainstorming

An idea generation and problem-solving technique which is about generating as many ideas as possible, with participants calling out ideas and someone jotting them down.

Many of the ideas may seem bizarre and irrelevant but it is important everything is jotted down which is mentioned.

When these are discussed and evaluated later the seemingly least obvious idea might actually be the one that, with further development, provides the best solution to the problem.
