Lesson Plan

This provides a detailed outline of a lesson and identifies the type of activities that will be required to achieve the requirements of the lesson.

A lesson is a short period of study, with many lessons forming an entire learning programme.

A basic lesson plan might include the following:
• Course title
• Lesson title
• Lesson number
• Date
• Lesson duration
• Learning / lesson outcomes
• Time (start / finish; each topic length)
• Lesson content
• Teaching features (e.g. demonstrate, remind, explore)
• Assessment / homework
• Resources checklist.
