Disciplinary Procedure
The formal steps which are to be taken to address misconduct, which can be inappropriate behaviour, or poor performance, which might be to do with routinely producing or delivering sub-standard products or services. Employers will have a formal written procedure which needs to be followed by employers and employees if a disciplinary proceeding is to commence. In many cases an informal but professional discussion between employer and employee will often resolve the issue, although this will depend on the seriousness of the issue.
