This Act deals with offences of bribing another person; offences related to being bribed; with Section 3 sub-section (2) covering the following functions and activities:
“(a) any function of a public nature,
(b) any activity connected with a business,
(c) any activity performed in the course of a person's employment,
(d) any activity performed by or on behalf of a body of persons (whether corporate or unincorporate).”
Other Sections of the Act cover:
S6. Bribery of foreign public officials;
S7. Failure of commercial organisations to prevent bribery;
S11. Penalties; which can mean “(1) (b) on conviction on indictment, to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 10 years, or to a fine, or to both.”
