This requires employers and employees to control working at height.

Some key requirements for the employer are to:
• “ensure that work at height is (a) properly planned; (b) appropriately supervised; and (c) carried out in a manner which is so far as is reasonably practicable safe,” (Regulation 4 (1));
• “shall ensure that work at height is carried out only when the weather conditions do not jeopardise the health or safety of persons involved in the work.” (Regulation 4 (4))
• Ensure that employees are competence to work at height, (Regulation 5);
• Carry out a risk assessment, (Regulation 6);
• Select appropriate work equipment, (Regulation 7);
• Indicate and cordon off an area being worked on at height to prevent injury to any individual, (Regulation 11);
