Species of grass which grow in warmer climates and which use the C4 pathway of photosynthesis, in contrast to cooler climates. The optimum temperatures for warm season species are typically between 27ËšC and 35ËšC. Examples of warm season turfgrasses are Bermuda grass; Zoysia grass, and Centipede grass.
