A common Perennial grass, with the scientific name of Festuca rubra subspecies rubra. The leaf is Bristle, having a typical width of 0.3-0.5mm. The Ligule is Membranous, being 0.5mm in length; Auricle?: No. Growth type is Rhizomatous. It is used in medium turf situations such as golf tees, golf fairways and ornamental lawns, with the minimum effective cutting height for this species being about 12mm.
