A common Perennial grass, with the scientific name of Festuca ovina. The leaf is Bristle, having a typical width of 0.3-0.6mm. The Ligule is Membranous, being 0.5mm in length; Auricle?: No. Growth type is Tufted. It is well adapted to dry, sandy, infertile soils, which can be acidic or calcareous. It is only suitable for some low maintenance amenity surfaces.
