A stoloniferous creeping perennial grass, which is suited to lightly shaded situations. It is not as hard wearing as smooth stalked meadow grass or perennial ryegrass but may have merit in medium wear turf situations. However, if other grass species have superior performance it is questionable why you would want to include this species in a seed mixture. The scientific name of this grass is Poa supina; with it also being called Creeping Meadow Grass and Supina Bluegrass.
