A turf for hard wearing sports surfaces, including racecourses. A typical sown mixture is 60% Perennial Ryegrass (30% Columbine; 30% Melbourne); 25% Smooth Stalked Meadow Grass (Julius); 15% Slender Creeping Red Fescue (Carousel). It is produced by Lindum Turf. It is available as grown on a sandy loam (cut to 15-20mm thickness); as washed turf (10mm thickness); on reinforced (Loksand) rootzone (cut to 40mm depth); or as a thick cut (40mm) rootzone.
