Linear Decompaction
The use of linear aeration equipment to physically decompact a soil. Heavy duty, typically rectangular type, tines can be adjusted to vary the extent of primarily sideways decompaction caused within a soil, although optimum soil moisture content is critical to achieving satisfactory outcomes. By contrast the shattering effect from deep penetrating solid tines which are used for decompaction work will typically be more effective, but the speed of operation is much slower.
