Linear Aeration
A continuous narrow channel or slit created in a turf surface by a vertical slicing action of a metal tine. The depth of channel or slit will vary according to the equipment used and the ground conditions in which it is used. Heavier duty linear aeration can decompact a soil profile, depending upon soil conditions and the type of tine used, as well as the degree of calculated sub-surface disturbance allowed for when adjusting the equipment for use.
