Contravator-Lospred

A make of tractor operated (PTO driven) surface groove-cutter and seed dispenser, which could also be used independently of each other. The contra-rotating blades cut grooves for seed to be deposited into the grooves via tubes. At the bottom of the hopper were two rotating rollers which helped to keep the seed flowing smoothly into the tubes. The full sowing width of the Lospred was 72 inches, which was the same working width as the Contravator. These were manufactured by SISIS originally in the mid-1960s.
