A graphical representation of multidimensional situations in the form of a radar graphic. AMOEBA is an abbreviation from the Netherlands for "a general method of ecosystem description and assessment".

An example of a variation of the AMOEBA approach is given in the figure below. This shows a range of sustainability indicators, with the majority of values lying within the middle to low end of a Band of Equilibrium. The colours of yellow, purple and green have been used to represent the different pillars of sustainability: social, economic and environmental, each showing 7 sustainability indicators for comparison purposes.
